Proceedings
publication
App. 170 papers have been included in the proceedings.
They are sorted according to the thirteen sections of the program that
were elaborated for the conference (see http://www.skk.uit.no/WW99/prog.html).
The dispersion of these papers on the different sections is in fact
mirroring quite well the dispersion of contributions (app. 1200) at the
conference. This shows that the largest sections also here in the publication
are Women, Power and Politics (III) and Gendering Work and the
Economy (IV). One of the smallest sections is Gendering Men (XIII).
At the same time by representing contributions from delegates
from 37 countries, these papers give quite a good picture of the broad
international participation (more than 70 countries) at the conference.
Publication on CD-ROM?
We are still working actively to find funding for publication
of a CD-ROM version. This publication is planned to include abstracts,
papers, the full programs (social and cultural as well as the academic
program), and a selection of press and media coverage of the event. By
early spring, we will probably be able to tell you more about this.
Please remark:
-
The delegates’ addresses are removed from the papers.
-
The papers on this page are presented in PDF-format and you
need the Acrobat
reader to read them.
